We have been playing hard with HortonWorks HDP 2.2 recently and we had a sort of good ideas that probably could help you somehow.
Today we are going to talk about “JA002: Unauthorized connection for super-user: oozie from IP 127.0.0.1 “.
When you start to configure some oozie’ workflows and submit the first step of a Hive Job the script will probably fail and will give you back the following error and stack:
JA002: Unauthorized connection for super-user: oozie from IP 127.0.0.1
Caused by: org.apache.hadoop.ipc.RemoteException(org.apache.hadoop.security.authorize.AuthorizationException): Unauthorized connection for super-user: oozie from IP 127.0.0.1
at com.sun.proxy.$Proxy39.getDelegationToken(Unknown Source)
... 30 more
This is not a kind of a complex error, but it takes time to be fixed if you are a beginner in this computational infraestructure.
To fix it, you have to log into your HDP instance (in your Virtual Machine) via SSH and add “localhost” as a value to the property called “hadoop.proxyuser.oozie.hosts” into the file “/etc/hadoop/conf/core-site.xml” as shown bellow.
<property> <name>hadoop.proxyuser.oozie.hosts</name> <value>sandbox.hortonworks.com,127.0.0.1,localhost</value> </property>
Then you have to save and restart the relevant services or just reboot your HDP VM instances.
We hope this helps you to go beyond the manuals.
